Engine time! So this got picked up for a good price… So the first day I swapped the fuel tank and fitted the new rear discs and fitted the mk3 wheels at the back. Whipped it up in the air to drain everything Got the engine ready to come out. Got the front subframe in and the front wheels on. Got the rad fitted, ish. Then took it home as we had everything done that we needed the ramp for. Lighting upgrade time As you know, the standard Mk2 golf headlights are a bit rubbish, so I hatched a plan. I wanted OEM Bi-xenon projectors in the Golf. OEM parts have the advantage of being E marked (ok not for my golf, but they were on the car they came on) which means the pattern is legal, and the light output it much better than the cheap chinese knock-offs. The eBay hunting began. I managed to find 2 different, but similar Range Rover headlamps. One from a 2006 vogue and the other from a 2011 version complete with all the fancy LEDs. Artist time! Last time you saw it, the Golf had a rather fetching shade of blue as a base coat. This time it’s all about the art! Not many words to go with this part, mostly pictures. Last time we saw some metal work being done and the first repaint for the Mk2. This time, things get a little different!
